Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before using the Vivah Sangam mobile application. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Vivah Sangam (“the App”, “the Service”), you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be legally bound by them. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

To use Vivah Sangam you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be a resident of India or an Indian citizen residing abroad (NRI)
  • Provide accurate and truthful information during registration
  • Not have been previously removed from the Service for violations of these Terms

3. Account Registration and Responsibility

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You must not create more than one account per person.
  • You must not impersonate any other person or misrepresent your identity, marital status, age, or any other personal information.
  • You are fully responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notify us immediately at support@vivahsangam.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Harass, threaten, intimidate, or abuse other users
  • Solicit money, gifts, or financial information from other users
  • Share, upload, or distribute sexually explicit, obscene, or harmful content
  • Share content involving or targeting minors in any sexual or exploitative manner
  • Use the Service for commercial solicitation, spam, or pyramid schemes
  • Attempt to scrape, harvest, or collect data from other users
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the App
  • Use the Service to facilitate illegal activity under Indian law

Violation of any of the above may result in immediate account suspension or permanent ban, with or without notice.

5. Profile Content and Photos

  • All profile photos must be of you and must accurately represent your current appearance.
  • Photos must not include children as the primary subject or contain nudity.
  • We reserve the right to remove any photo or content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines without notice.
  • By uploading content, you grant Vivah Sangam a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content within the App solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

6. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described therein.

7. Matchmaking and No Guarantees

Vivah Sangam provides a platform to facilitate connections between users. We do not:

  • Guarantee that you will find a suitable match
  • Conduct criminal background checks on users
  • Verify user-supplied information beyond what is collected at registration
  • Endorse or vouch for any user

You are solely responsible for evaluating the suitability of any person you choose to interact with or meet. We strongly recommend following our Safety Guidelines before meeting anyone in person.

8. Subscription and Payments

  • Certain features of the Service may require a paid subscription or in-app purchase.
  • All payments are processed securely through the relevant app store (Google Play / Apple App Store).
  • Subscription fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or as expressly stated at the time of purchase.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable advance notice.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, design, logos, and software comprising the Service are the intellectual property of Vivah Sangam or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account, at our sole discretion, for any violation of these Terms or behaviour we determine to be harmful to other users or the platform. You may also delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including liability limitations and dispute resolution) will do so.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vivah Sangam shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service
  • The conduct, online or offline, of any user
  • Any content posted by users
  • Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data

Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vivah Sangam and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via a notification in the App or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
